Omoge Àsà believes that culture is not only something to celebrate; it is also something from which people can create, innovate and build sustainable livelihoods.
At the heart of this vision is the celebration of Culturepreneurs—young Nigerians who are turning cultural knowledge, indigenous crafts, creative skills and heritage into businesses, brands and meaningful careers.
A Culturepreneur may be an Adire designer, an Aso-Oke creative, a bead maker, fashion designer, artisan, food entrepreneur, traditional craft practitioner, performer, photographer, filmmaker, digital storyteller or creative entrepreneur whose work draws inspiration from Nigerian culture.
Omoge Àsà provides a platform for these young innovators to be seen, celebrated, connected and encouraged.
Omoge Àsà therefore does not see the culturepreneur merely as a vendor or craftsman. We see a custodian, innovator and economic actor—someone capable of taking something deeply rooted in our heritage and giving it contemporary relevance.
